(We spoke to Kip back in late June, just after his film ‘What The Health’ was released on Netflix)
It was an honor, and a thrill, to have Kip Andersen on the show!
Kip is the co-director & producer of the outstanding documentaries Cowspiracy and What The Health.
Cowspiracy: The Sustainability Secret is a groundbreaking feature-length environmental documentary following intrepid filmmaker Kip Andersen as he uncovers the most destructive industry facing the planet today – and investigates why the world’s leading environmental organizations are too afraid to talk about it.
Animal agriculture is the leading cause of deforestation, water consumption and pollution, is responsible for more greenhouse gases than the transportation industry, and is a primary driver of rainforest destruction, species extinction, habitat loss, topsoil erosion, ocean “dead zones,” and virtually every other environmental ill. Yet it goes on, almost entirely unchallenged.
What the Health is the groundbreaking follow-up film from the creators of the award-winning documentary Cowspiracy. The film exposes the collusion and corruption in government and big business that is costing us trillions of healthcare dollars, and keeping us sick.
What The Health is a surprising, and at times hilarious, investigative documentary that will be an eye-opener for everyone concerned about our nation’s health and how big business influences it.
Very exciting to hear that Kip is working on a few other projects and it sounds like 2018 is going to be a big year!

WTH was amazing, so educational. Everyone should watch it, especially doctors. I’m a part of the cube of truth activism and I love telling all the bystanders to watch WTH, I get so excited telling people about it. Loved this podcast, thanks guys ✌️

I’m liking these podcasts, I like watching them when I eat, much liek I do with your mukabngs. Keep up the good work and thank you! 🙂
Thanks so much Terence 🙂
hey guys loving the podcasts. both of you have been a great inspiration to me, and really helped me transition to veganism smoothly. although my diet changed to a vegan diet overnight (after binge watching and crying the whole night), but i am becoming more vegan every passing day(you know what i mean) and its been one and half year now. my overnight transition was on ethical grounds…that’s why i find it very difficult when i talk to family friends…but they seem to just not get why hurting animals is wrong…even after watching the documentaries..my heart just sinks when i realise the darkest sides of these people…. and lot of the times wished not knowing these darkest sides of these on the surface “good” people. veganism have really opened up the Pandora’s box for me…where i have discovered the insanity of humans. feels like every thing is so disconnected. but still i will go on doing this for the animals and the planet. so my question is how do u deal with situations in which one experience the cold and dark side of someone near and dear. also how veganism have lead you guys to discover these dark truths of the insane humanrace and if any what are they. and also talk about the importance to stay optimistic. thanks for all the good work you do. lots of love.
So glad we could help you out in any way and really wonderful to hear about the changes you’ve made. We hear your frustration!! You ask some good questions, we’ll consider them for a future episode. Thank you so much xo
Great interview! 🙂 I’m really looking forward to Kip’s next film which will focus on the ethics of veganism. That will be so huge for our movement!!! Also, I was wondering if it would be at all possible for you two to do an interview with the lady who was featured in the What The Health film who experienced those incredible results shortly after switching to a vegan diet? The amount of skeptics out there who are claiming that she’s exaggerating or straight up lying is getting really annoying, and I think it would be most helpful if she were given the opportunity to speak up for herself. What do you guys think?
Hi, thanks for listening 🙂 Yes Kip’s next ethics based film will be huge for the movement indeed! Ohhh, that’s an interesting request … we’ll definitely consider it. Thanks for the idea.
That was wonderful! So exciting to hear there is an upcoming ethics based project from Kip and Keegan!
Hi Fiona! So lovely to see you here 🙂 Thanks for listening and glad you enjoyed it. Yes we’re so excited to see how their next film will come out and the impact it will have.
Good questions and interesting answers. Thanks!
You’re welcome and thank you Sabina!
I have a question which pops up very often when I talk about the leading causes of death. Many people ask: ‘How can you be sure that the hear attacks are only due to food? Maybe most of them are due to anxiety, stress etc.’. Even a cardiologist told me that he doesn’t think food is mostly responsible for heart diseases. Thank you very much in advance.
This video has the answer… we’d suggest sending this link to people who seem confused on the issue https://nutritionfacts.org/video/eliminating-the-1-cause-of-death/
I was so excited when I found this!! An interview from Kip is what I’ve been hoping for! Without meaning to, he answered a lot of the questions I get, and a lot of criticism from the film, and it was just perfect. I had no idea he’s been vegan for ten years, wow. Love his films and admire him so much and can’t wait to see what else he comes out with in the future!!!
So glad you enjoyed the interview with Kip! Thanks for listening and commenting Nicole 🙂
